Shweta Tiwari is an Indian television and film actress who came in to the limelight after her performance in Balaji Telefilm’s show Kasautii Zindagii Kay.

Shweta Tiwari was born in Pratapgarh, Uttar Pradesh, India on October 4, 1980. Her father is Ashok Tiwari and mother is Nirmala. She finished her schooling from St.Isabel in Mumbai and graduated from Burhanis College in Mazegaon. Shweta’s childhood was very difficult. When she was 12 years old she had to work in a travel agency where she was paid only five hundred rupees per month.
In 1998 she married her co star of Bhojpuri movies, Raja Choudhary, and they have a daughter named Palak. But unfortunately this marriage did not last long as Shweta accused him of violence against her. And they got separated in 2007.
Television She caught a director’s eye while she was acting for a play called Khoobsoorat Bahu and then was offered the role of Komal in Kaleerein. Shweta has done more than twenty TV shows out of which the most famous ones are: Kaahin Kissii Roz, Kasautii Zindagii Kay, Yeh Hai Jalwa, Comedy Circus - Chinchpokli To China and was a co judge for Aajaa Mahi Vay.
Shweta has received many Star Parivar Awards for Favorite Maa among others.

She has done a couple of Hindi (Madhoshi, Abra Ka Dabra), Punjabi (Apni Boli Apna Des) and Bhojpuri (Hamar Sayian Hindustani, Kab Aibu Anganwa Hamar) movies also.
Shweta is also producing serials and films.

After a grueling 14 weeks in the House, Shweta proved she still rules the small screen by becoming the first woman to win Bigg Boss

She married Bhojpuri actor Raja Chaudhary at just 18 and they had a daughter, Palak. 9 years later, the marriage dissolved amid allegations of physical abuse
Former husband Raja had to seek psychiatric treatment for depression. Shweta applied for legal separation but Raja insisted on continuing with their troubled marriage
The actress denied rumours of a romance with Kasautii co-star Cezanne Khan while still married to Raja
There are relationship, and even marriage rumours, surrounding Shweta and actor Abhinav Kohli, who she met on the sets of Jaane Kya Baat Hui
Shweta moved to TV from stage. She was offered a role in serial Kaleerein while appearing in a play

In 2008, she joined actors Ronit Roy and Apara Mehta as judge on dance reality show Aajaa Mahi Vay
With reel--life hubby Ronit Roy's brother Rohit, she tried her luck at hosting on Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 3 and was fairly impressive.
